This is day 28 of the “Stay home, stay safe” mandate. For Tuesday, April 21, 2020, here is today’s daily communication…
For those in Michigan this came across last night for helping those with Michigan Unemployment issues. Again, if we find things for other states we will pass those along as well.
Those not getting state benefits in Michigan here is a brief video on federal benefits. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KVTb1HTJ7Yg&list=PLcPPZAWezX74MaMSac3l900E2KE8ph3_2&index=6
For those still getting through unemployment snags, a representative from West Michigan Works suggests maintaining patience to get online chats with the unemployment office. Connecting with Unemployment at their morning opening, having the “Claim ID” and questions ready to “cut and paste” into the online chat area, when the chat becomes available, will be most effective. It may take several hours to initiate the chat, while keeping the window active (not timing out) as wait time can be 3-4 hours. Once connected, input Claim ID, questions, and issues i.e. If denied, ask why? If approved but not getting payments – ask why?
